I built this because most trader Excel journals only log P&L. Trading Journal Pro auto-calculates win rate, average R:R, and profit factor per setup tag, so you can see which setups actually make money vs which ones you just enjoy trading. Works in both Excel and Google Sheets, no macros needed. RO + EN.
Hey everyone - maker here. I kept my own trading journal in a plain spreadsheet for years and only ever logged P&L. I could never tell which setups actually worked, so I built a template that auto-calculates win rate, R:R and profit factor per setup tag. Works in Excel or Google Sheets, zero setup. Would love feedback from other traders here!

honestly the per-setup win rate and R:R breakdown is what sold me, since i was basically just tracking P&L before and had no idea which setups were actually carrying. works smooth in google sheets too.

@kadriyeirvowna Thanks so much! That was exactly the point - raw P&L doesn't tell you which setups are actually carrying you. Glad it works smoothly in Sheets, let me know if you hit any edge case where a calculation doesn't look right.

@kadriyeirvowna By the way, I've been seriously considering adding a tab for emotional state at entry, tagged per setup too - so you can see not just what's working, but when you tend to make bad decisions. Would that be useful to you, or would you rather see something else (e.g. an automatic equity curve chart)?

@kadriyeirvowna Thank you, really glad it's useful! That was exactly the gap I built it to fix — per-setup stats instead of just a P&L total. Let me know if you run into any edge cases with the formulas.
