What real task does your product handle with GPT-6 Astra?

ToolBraid lets GPT-6 Astra act from an existing Codex session on live pages and Windows. It can inspect tabs, collect source-linked evidence, call native WebMCP tools on compatible sites and work with approved files and Windows controls. One real workflow: inspect community replies, surface what needs attention and send the response I request, without leaving my project session.
I'm Dan, not a software developer. I couldn't have built this alone. The idea began with Sol; Astra and I rebuilt it from the ground up. Astra helped design, implement, debug and test the extension and companion, and proactively brought in Codex Security and Daybreak to find bugs and vulnerabilities. We used ToolBraid on real pages and my X account, fixed failures and added regression tests.
Available now: functional, open-source Windows 0.3.1 RC1. Recorded source tests: 580 passed, 4 opt-in skips, zero failures. Live-test limits are documented.

Built for developers. Keep building, without losing touch with the work around your project.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Dan, the person behind ToolBraid Companion. I'm not a software developer, and I couldn't have built this on my own. I brought the idea, direction and feedback; working with Astra in Codex made it possible to turn that into a functioning product.
Building a project takes more than writing code. There are live pages to inspect, research to collect, local files to work with and people to respond to. I wanted to delegate that work from the AI session I was already using.
ToolBraid connects that session to the browser and Windows through a WebMCP-enabled extension and a local companion. Use it directly from Codex or another MCP client. You don't have to move into a separate chat.
What you can put it to work on
• Browser and desktop work: inspect live pages, navigate tabs, use forms, call native WebMCP tools where supported, interact with exposed Windows accessibility controls and work inside folders you grant.
• Research you can revisit: collect evidence across tabs with source URLs and capture times, retain local records and build multi-step workflows with checkpoints.
• Work around your project: review visible X mentions and replies, ask for a catch-up or send a specific response. Media jobs and scheduled tool calls are also available with their required local setup.
Prefer chatting inside the browser? There is an optional panel through Codex with ChatGPT sign-in and your account's Codex limits. Local models can connect through a tool-capable external MCP host.
Built with Astra. Improved through real use.
The idea started with Sol. Astra and I then rebuilt ToolBraid from the ground up, working through implementation, testing and debugging. One moment stood out: Astra proactively brought in Codex Security and Daybreak to look for bugs and vulnerabilities. I hadn't asked for that extra review.
Then we used ToolBraid itself on real pages and my own X account. Repeated discovery, stale targets and reconnects interrupted real tasks. We fixed the causes and added regression tests.
Astra helped build the tool; using the tool helped us improve it.
Functional. Open source. Available now.
Download 0.3.1 RC1 for Windows x64, or build it from source. It is a working release candidate under active development, not a waitlist. The public-source suite recorded 580 passing tests, 4 opt-in skips and no failures; live checks and their limits are documented separately.
Free under Apache 2.0. Chrome/Edge installation is manual and the ZIP launcher is unsigned. Native WebMCP needs a compatible browser and site; AI-provider access is separate. You choose enabled sites and local resource grants; approval behavior depends on the client.
