Hey everyone, maker here . I kept wondering what my AI coding actually costs. claude code, codex, copilot and opencode all write session logs to disk, and those logs have the token counts in them. Nobody was reading them. tokn does. install the cli, run tokn sync, and you get the real number. Mine is $10,935 across 16.2B tokens over 76 days. Two things that surprised me: my $100/mo plan carried 51x its own cost in API-equivalent usage, and 93% of my spend is cache reads, not completions. Everything is scanned locally. tokn scan prints the same numbers without uploading anything, so you can look before you decide to share. Curious what your number is, and whether it's higher than you expected. You can try tokn out at : https://toknhq.com/
