Turn code, text or a sketch into a hand-drawn video

Todrawn turns a code snippet, a block of text or a freehand sketch into a hand-drawn video. A virtual pen redraws your material stroke by stroke, at a pace you control. Composing, playback and encoding all run in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there is nothing to install.

Hi ProductHunt,
I'm Jakub. I run Todrawn.
This started with a small frustration; explaining six-line function to someone. A screen recording shows my whole desktop, my cursor hunting for the right file, my editor theme, the tab I forgot to close. All the viewer needed was the one branch that actually mattered.
Todrawn Scribe takes the opposite approach. You paste code, type text, or draw a sketch, and a virtual pen redraws it stroke by stroke into a video. What ends up on screen is only what you actually wrote or drew.
Two things I care about more than features:
It does not use generative AI. No generated script, no stock characters. Every stroke comes from your input. That is what makes the output usable as teaching material rather than decoration.
Nothing leaves your browser. Composing, playback and video encoding all run locally, so your code is never uploaded, and you can preview without an account or an install.
What it will not do, so nobody is surprised: there is no character library, no voice-over, no timeline for long-form editing, and long inputs are trimmed to the first 500 lines. If you need a full animation suite, there are better tools for that and I have written comparasions with a few of them.
Free gives you five exports a day with a small watermark. Previewing is unlimited and needs no account. Paid removes the limit and the watermark.
I would genuinely like to hear where it breaks, especially from people who teach or who record code walkthroughs.
Ask me anything.
