Hi Product Hunt! Tillkit launches here on Friday, and before then I'd like to hear from people who run or build small online stores.
Tillkit is the source code for a store you host yourself: Stripe checkout, sales tax, inventory from supplier invoices and profit reports, for $79 once plus about $5 a month on Railway. The trade-off is that you own the hosting instead of renting a platform.
Two honest questions:
1. What would make self-hosting worth it for you?
Hi Product Hunt! I built this store for my own business, then turned it into a template for anyone who's tired of monthly platform fees. You host it yourself, take cards through your own Stripe account, and get inventory, sales tax and profit reports without add-on apps. The demo's admin is open, so click around: https://demo.tillkit.shop. It's $79 one-time (https://buy.polar.sh/polar_cl_tD...), or $249 with a license for unlimited client stores (https://buy.polar.sh/polar_cl_l3...). I'll be here all day answering questions.
