@lareecasp Yes and no 😊 Initially, we created 3D models to render those 3D illustrations you've seen. They were as messy as any creative process could be. Then, people requested the source files of those illustrations to craft something new and add them to their videos, games, etc. So, they look the same, but behind it, we reworked the models to fit motion designers' needs. Now, we offer them in FBX format. Anyone familiar with various graphic and 3D design software such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Unity, Unreal Engine, and Blender could use them. Also, we optimized them to consume less computing resources because processing and rendering heavy 3D files can kill even a powerful laptop.

@lareecasp @luba_zee I'll add a bit more about what happened behind the scene. Threedio 3D models are tailored for 3D illustration and animation, and they have a unique quality that sets them apart. Originally, these models were crafted by artists without any constraints, using their preferred methods in their beloved 3D software. While this ok for creativity, the resulting model files may not be user-friendly for everyone. Therefore, we've optimized the models to ensure ease of use in various software. After optimization, the models are set at a mid-poly level, striking a balance between aesthetics and performance. The mesh of these models is impeccable from all angles, providing a smooth appearance without overburdening your computer. Moreover, our models are ready for additional smoothing through subdivision surfaces during the rendering phase. In their optimized state, these models are not just visually appealing, but they also spare users from unpleasant surprises. The mesh is devoid of unnecessary edges and can be further refined to suit your preferences without producing unwanted artifacts. So you can confidently work with our models, knowing they've been fine-tuned for your convenience.

@xaqan yep, we spoke to some motion designers, including our own 3D team. The target audience are motion designers. They need great visuals above all. Unlike game designers, they're neglected.
