It strips context your agent no longer needs, caches knowledge so future agents don’t have to rediscover it, and keeps your instruction files lean and current. Across my first dozen users, it’s averaged 20% fewer tokens per completed task, with no drop in success rate. For teams, it also shows where token spend is going, by team, repo, and agent.
