I built Thikana because I noticed that many small hotels and homestays struggle to get discovered online. Even when they offer good rooms and services, they often lack the digital presence and marketing support needed to reach more travellers.

Many independent property owners also find it difficult to write professional property descriptions, showcase their rooms online, and compete with larger hotel platforms. At the same time, travellers often struggle to find suitable accommodation that matches their budget, location, and preferences.

I wanted to build a simple platform that connects these two sides.

With Thikana, my goal is to help small hotels and homestays improve their online visibility while making it easier for travellers to discover accommodation, explore property details and photos, compare options, and contact owners directly through WhatsApp.

I'm building Thikana from Assam, India, with a focus on making digital discovery more accessible to independent hospitality businesses.
