Every developer has wasted time hunting for brand logos. They're scattered across press kits, icon packs, and random repos - often as low-res PNGs or behind login walls.
We built theSVG to solve this. One search, one click, done. Whether you're building a landing page, writing documentation, or prototyping a dashboard - brand icons should take seconds, not minutes.
The npm packages are tree-shakeable and typed. The React package ships 3,847 components, each with full SVGProps support. The CLI lets you grab icons from your terminal. And the MCP server means AI coding assistants can find and use brand icons natively.
Everything is MIT licensed and open source. We'll keep growing the collection and building integrations.

Wow, the response today has been incredible - thank you all!
A few things people have been asking about:
Why not just use Simple Icons? We love Simple Icons and actually built on top of their collection. theSVG adds multi-variant support (light, dark, mono, wordmark), React/Vue components with full TypeScript support, and a modern search UI. Think of it as the developer experience layer on top of great icon data.
What's coming next? We're working on Figma plugin improvements, better category browsing, and expanding the collection past 4,000 icons. If your favorite brand is missing, the submit flow takes under 2 minutes.
The MCP server is the sleeper hit. If you use Claude, Cursor, or any AI coding tool - the MCP integration means your assistant can search and insert brand SVGs without you ever leaving your editor.
Try it. Keep the feedback coming - we're shipping updates live today.

Collection grew past 5,650 icons (up from ~4,000 at launch). Two community submissions merged this week: Lutece CMS and Pedi App. The submit form at thesvg.org/submit has been the steadiest inflow. Most submissions turn into merged PRs same-day.
