The Index is a hand-checked directory of AI tools, organized by what they're actually good at, not a "top 100" list. Compare writing, image, video, audio, coding, and design tools side by side, with honest pros and cons for each.
One thing that would make this way more useful for me - a "stacks" or favorites feature where I can save the tools I'm currently testing and view them on one page with side-by-side pricing and feature comparison. Right now I have like fifteen tabs open comparing Notion AI, Claude, and ChatGPT for writing tasks and it's a mess.
Finally a directory that doesn't just list every shiny new tool with zero context. Loved that the writing and coding categories actually show pros and cons side by side, made it way easier to pick what to try next.
