Hi Product Hunt! I'm Tyler, and I built Text to Tabletop.

I play D&D, and our group kept hitting the same moment: the players head somewhere we have no map for, or come up with a plan nobody saw coming, and the fight happens on a blank table. It's much more fun to play with something you can see.

So I built a way to make a map in the time it takes to describe one. You type the scene, pick the size in squares, and get a top-down battle map drawn to that grid, ready for Foundry, Roll20, Owlbear Rodeo or a printer.

A few things I'm proud of:

Edit instead of reroll: select a few squares and describe the change, or give one instruction for the whole map.

Foundry-ready export: the .dd2vtt file carries walls, doors, windows and lights read from the image.

Up to 4K, and every map is yours to use commercially.
