Terra.do Learning for Action

I was in the very first cohort of Terra.do back in the spring/summer of 2020 and have seen the team drive so much impact in terms of helping people transition into productive climate-focused work. We invested into the company's seed round via our venture fund at MCJ Collective. Terra.do was foundational to my own climate journey and helped me meet so many people who have supported me along the way.

I am grateful that I started my climate action journey with Terra.do. It is an extraordinary platform enabling us to work towards solving this big, hairy problem with knowledge, passion, and empathy!

Before joining Terra.do, I had a great deal of climate anxiety. The problem felt insurmountable, each individual action insignificant. Joining Terra.do has been the greatest antidote to that anxiety. I've discovered that a vast array of climate solutions exist, and that incredible people around the world are working — in such creative and imaginative ways — to implement them. I know a single job, a single company, or a single policy alone can't solve climate change. But when 100M innovative, resourceful, & tenacious people work on climate change solutions together, I absolutely believe that a vibrant, bountiful and regenerative future is possible. Terra.do is creating the place to learn about climate solutions, discover climate companies, and meet really thoughtful folks from every corner of the globe. Congrats Terra.do for your Product Hunt launch. You are doing a terrific job with your mission of building a climate change focused professional community. This is an inspiring goal - climate change is the biggest challenge the world faces and we need to pull out all the stops in combating this existential crisis. Co-founder of Terra.do here—I’ve been working in climate for 24 years and Terra.do is the most inspiring, fun and motivating work I’ve ever been involved in. Very grateful to @pollock for hunting us. Especially grateful to our founder @anshuman_bapna for talking me into this exciting adventure. As part of my job I keep up on all the latest climate research and news, and the people of Terra.do are the antidote to any climate anxiety I feel. We have an amazing team and most importantly, we now have thousands of people in our vibrant community, many having made a successful transition into climate work, and others on their way! THIS is how we’re going to solve climate change: by getting as many people as possible working on the problem. That’s our mission at Terra.do!

I couldn’t think of anything better to do with the rest of my career. Let’s all work in climate!
