Everything in this thread already matches how I work. Some nights I have more than one agent running at once, not a single terminal. A dock bounce tells me something needs me. It does not tell me which window.

If three terminals are each running a different agent, does every window get its own badge, or does it collapse into one bounce no matter how many are actually waiting on you?

Honest answer: the dock bounce is app-level — macOS gives you one dock icon, so three agents finishing gets you bounces but the icon can't say which. The window hop is smarter: anything that rings the terminal bell hops that specific window, so bell-ringing agents attribute correctly. The Claude Code / Codex hook path is the weak spot — their hooks don't say which terminal fired, so that hop lands on the frontmost window. Per-window "waiting on you" badges for exactly your setup is a good idea and it's on the list. Sorry for the slow reply — this deserved a faster one.@abdullah_javaid3

@terminal_candy That explains the split. Claude Code hooks run as a child process of the terminal window that spawned them, so the hook script does have access to that window's environment at execution time. If Terminal Candy reads something window scoped out of that process instead of waiting on the bell, it could attribute correctly without touching the hook payload at all. Might be worth checking what is actually available in that environment before ruling it out as a hook limitation.

The Skin Builder turning any image into a working terminal, not just picking from presets, is the actual product. Everything else is a coat of paint on top of that.

Agent alerts is your last bullet and it's the only one that makes this a daily driver instead of a weekend toy. I'd move it to the top. Anyone can picture phosphor glow, but "the dock bounces when Codex is actually waiting on me" is the sentence that gets me to pay the $10, and right now it's sitting under the Game Boy skins.

@terminal_candy if you do reorder it, lead with the dock bounce rather than the notification. a badge I have to go and look at is the same as no alert, the bounce is the thing that actually pulls my eyes back. skins get people to install it, that detail is why it's still open in week two.

@asadmalik901 Already done — reworked the launch page copy, the ping is up top now. And agreed on the bounce: the whole window physically hops, not a badge you have to go find. Appreciate you pushing on this twice.

@terminal_candy Since you're already reordering, the other line I'd move up is $10 once, no subscription. Right now it's buried under the feature list and a chunk of people will assume $10/mo and close the tab. For a dev tool in 2026 that's the most surprising thing on the page, so it should be doing work above the fold.
