My XGIMI projector came full of apps I never asked for, a home screen full of ads, and a store without Netflix. Every clean up guide needed a laptop, adb and a terminal. I wanted something anyone at home could use from a phone, with an Undo for every change.
Tellyscope runs on your phone and talks to the TV over Wi-Fi ADB:
• Debloat from 230+ tested lists for your model (adapted from cleanyourtv). It shows every app first, and apps that came with the TV are only disabled, never deleted. History has Undo, and Restore everything puts it all back.
• Install APKs from your phone, browse and send files, and switch the home screen to a launcher like Projectivy.
• Block ads on the whole TV with Private DNS (AdGuard by default), clear all caches, take TV screenshots.
Free, GPL-3.0, no ads, no tracking, no account. It makes two internet requests: the debloat lists from GitHub, and an update check you can turn off.
AI-assisted: much of the code is written with Claude. I set the direction and review and test every change before it ships.
It's only been tested on my own TVs so far, so tell me your model and what worked or broke.
