The only web-based voice controlled teleprompter!

(Chrome Only) A voiced controlled teleprompter that uses your PC's built in microphone to scroll as you speak. Made to scratch my own itch – I have a hard time memorizing scripts for Youtube videos and it makes recording and editing a pain. So this helps a ton! Most other teleprompter apps and websites, use auto scroll - and that's pretty weak.

What do you think? …

This is legit. Just tried it for the intro/outro to my podcast. Made the read incredibly smoother. Thank you!

Fantastic, you genius.

Can't make it work. I am using Chrome on Mac, have authorized mic use, have pasted text in the box, have started to read out loud but nothing happens. Have tried several times but nothing seems to wake it up. Any suggestions?
Robin Good
Understood why. A. You need to speak enough so that there is a need to scroll, otherwise you have no visual feedback that this is working and you give up too early not seeing anything happening. B. It works only in English. At least from my test. I wrote some stuff in Italian, read it, but nothing at all happened. When I write stuff in English it always works. Hope this can help great Corey, who did a fantastic job. This is both simple and very useful for anyone doing video. Kudos. Robin Good

Does this work in other languages than English too, Corey?

@erwblo Language support is on the way 😉

Just tested a 15 minute monologue to test and knocked it out in one take. The auto scrolling based on what the microphone hears is incredible, especially for natural pacing.

Pros:

It’s crazy simple. The voice recognition is solid and the Autoscrolling is amazing.

Cons:

Chrome on desktop only. Not on mobile ( <--I hope this comes soon!! )

I think that Smartprompt owns the patent on this... I’m not certain, but hopefully you checked this out.

I'd be quite curious about the little setup that is in front of you in the video. It is not too clear from the images exactly how you have set this up, and what am I really looking at, but it certainly would be useful to know for those who you want to use your tool. Image ref.: Thanks Corey.
