Hello, fellow Product Hunters 👋 !
I was inspired to make this site after two wildly different experiences I had with two different third-party recruiting firms. One was great! They doubled my salary and helped me get a contract role that this led to a real full-time role.
The other company was awful. They told me I would have a one-year contract-to-hire role but the role only lasted one week. Something the third-party recruiting firm knew but decided not to tell me 😞 . The third-party recruiting firm then said they would help me find another role which consisted of them sending me information on a role in southern Indiana and then never contacting me again (I don’t live in southern Indiana).
I want to help bring transparency to this currently murky and crowded market.
There are over 20,000 different third-party staffing and recruiting firms in the United States alone (staffingindustry.com) with global revenue of 💰 $481.2 billion USD 💰 (staffingindustry.com). Some of these companies are great and others are terrible. The barrier to entry has never been lower with the ability for anyone to create a LinkedIn account and call themselves a “Recruiter”. But there is currently no easy way to know who are the truly good third-party staffing and recruiting companies.
This murky market is the problem I want to help solve for all tech folks seeking jobs and for employers that want to find a quality third-party staffing or recruiting company to help find their next great technical employee. Bring on the transparency!
