Hey Product Hunt! I'm Adam, the maker of TeamCalc. I built this because I kept solving the same problem from scratch: figuring out what a team would actually cost. Every time — whether for a pitch deck, a board meeting, or just a sanity check — I'd end up in a spreadsheet pulling salary numbers from five different sources and manually adding taxes, pension, and benefits. The result was always fragile, hard to share, and out of date within a week. I figured if I kept rebuilding this spreadsheet, other people probably were too. TeamCalc gives you built-in salary benchmarks so you're not starting from zero, calculates the full loaded cost including overhead, and lets you export a PDF you can actually hand to someone. If you have your own salary data, you can upload it as a CSV and the tool just uses yours instead. A few things I learned along the way that shaped the product: The PDF export almost didn't make it into v1. Turns out it's one of the most-used features — people care as much about the output as the tool itself. Pre-filling data beats blank templates. When I switched the CSV upload from "start from scratch" to "here's the existing data, just change what you want," everything improved. Getting benchmark data right is harder than it looks. I ended up building a multi-source methodology that blends government stats, salary platforms, and recruiter data rather than relying on any single source.
