I know, I know, yet another bill splitting app! Well, this one's a little different - I wanted to get away from spreadsheet style interfaces, legacy app navigation, platform dependencies, and user logins. All the while making the user experience a bit more enjoyable - and even sociable. The app is available via the website and can be saved to home screens to open as a progressive web app (PWA). Upload your receipt via camera or upload - as you'd expect - and let our back end get to work. Your tab / bill / check is presented back to you as a stack of item cards ready for you to swipe - down to claim or assign to a payer, or up to split with others. Do this yourself or invite friends to do their bit, in real time. We're working hard to handle the edge cases and break down barriers - incorporating things like: - fractional splits on items, tips, & discounts - inclusive and exclusive tax, tips & service charges - multi-currencies - multi-lingual (translations built-in) - receipt read error handling - real-time synchronised multi-user splitting - share individual and group bills via Whatsapp / email Looking ahead, we're thinking of adding payment integration ("pay me back") options, and potentially integrations with other shared expense ledgers. Its been a fun build, keen to hear how people find it. All feedback welcome.
