Anthropic wont tell you to use less Anthropic. I wanted to do something about that. Here is what happened and why I wanted to solve it: I had set up a workflow to handle some automations with OpenAI API. Simple stuff. Costs should be tiny, right? I kept getting billed large amounts, I had no idea why. The usage section of OpenAI barely gave me any context. It just told me how many tokens were burned and what it costed me. What I realized later that had happened was one of my agents had a logic bug. When a workflow section failed, instead of stopping, it retried the entire workflow. Generate response again. Again and again. Each retry hit OpenAI. By morning, the workflow had executed 12,000 times. Why I didn't catch it sooner: My provider only shows me costs. You see the charge on your OpenAI bill, but by then it's too late. No alerts either. Just silence, then terror. What I learned: You need visibility into your API spending that your provider would never give you. And not the general kind of visibility, I mean real insights. Uber burned its 2026 AI budget by Q2. Imagine if it had a way to predict that. What I built: I realized Make and Zapier don't warn you. The providers don't warn you. You have to build your own guardrails. So I spent the last few months building a tool that sits between your automation platform and your API. Shows you the real insights. In plain English. Visualizes context window bloat. All the stuff that should exist but doesn't.
