Hi everyone, I’m Vlad, the maker of Switchy.
Switchy puts everyday Mac controls and developer status checks in one native menu bar panel: system switches, deploy status, local servers, 2FA codes, and Claude/Codex usage limits.
It runs on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later. You can try every feature for 7 days without an account or card; after that, it’s $4.99 once for up to 3 Macs.
Which controls or integrations would be most useful in your workflow?
nice one, congrats on the launch!! when my Claude or Codex limits change, does Switchy read them straight from the accounts or estimate them from local usage logs?
@igorblink
Switchy gets the account’s reported usage and limits through Claude and Codex’s own CLIs, so there’s no estimation from local usage logs. Changes show up on the next successful refresh, along with the reset times the provider reports.
Your question reminded me I need to take care of something. When you log out of one Claude account and log into another, the usage bar from the first account resets. I’m fixing that.
where do the 2FA secrets live, macOS keychain or a file Switchy manages? That decides if I would put my real accounts in it.
