SweatLock turns screen time into an earned privilege. Parents set screen time limits for teens—once reached, apps lock down. To unlock extra minutes, kids (or self-disciplined adults) must earn them with push-ups, squats, or daily steps.

Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
As parents (and self-improvement junkies), we all know standard screen time controls are broken.
Teens constantly beg for the Screen Time PIN, leading to daily arguments. And when adults try to lock their own apps, we just tap "Ignore Limit for 15 Minutes" and go right back to doomscrolling.
We built SweatLock to replace endless arguments with an un-arguable rule: If you want more screen time, you earn it with physical movement.
👨👩👧👦 How It Works for Parents
Set the Baseline: Parents set a fair daily free allowance for addicting apps (TikTok, Instagram, Roblox, YouTube).
Earn Overtime: Once the free baseline runs out, apps lock at the OS level. If your teen wants 15 more minutes, they prop up the phone and do 20 push-ups (counted by on-device Vision AI) or walk 1,500 steps (tracked via Apple Health).
The Weekly Wean: Parents can set the daily baseline to automatically taper down each week, weaning kids off screen addiction gradually and naturally.
Zero Arguments: The app enforces the rule, not you. Want more TikTok? The floor is right there.
🧘♂️ Also Built for Self-Determined Adults
If you’re using SweatLock for your own digital wellbeing:
You set your own commitment tier and baseline shrinkage.
The Anti-Cheat Penalty: If you try to bypass the block by revoking iOS permissions in Settings, SweatLock instantly burns your streak, revokes your titles, and resets your achievements. You can quit, but you have to accept being a quitter to do it.
🔒 Privacy-First Engineering
We know parents care deeply about privacy. The camera Vision AI processes push-ups and squats 100% locally on-device. No video or photos ever leave the phone.
💬 We’d Love Your Feedback!
We’re currently validating our pricing tiers and features before shipping the full iOS build.
For Parents: Would your kids actually do push-ups for screen time, or is step-tracking the bigger winner?
For Power Users: Is the commitment slider price enough to keep you accountable?

Finally tried SweatLock with my son and the push-up trade-off actually worked. He chose squats for 20 minutes of Minecraft and stuck with it.
