Surraura re-renders whatever your Mac is playing inside real, measured acoustic spaces. Your own Spotify, podcasts, or videos sound like they’re in a rainy-window cafe, a jazz club, or a parked car in a storm. The rooms come from impulse responses recorded in real places, the ambience underneath was recorded on site, and all processing happens on-device. Hi PH, solo founder here. I built Surraura after a late-in-life ADHD diagnosis: I noticed it was never about what I was listening to, it was where it sounded like I was. Flat stereo in my skull, I bounce off; the same track with distance and enclosure, I can work. Every environment is a real place (impulse responses and ambience recorded on location), and the app processes your audio on your Mac. Nothing streams anywhere. The research on ambient sound and focus is adjacent to what this does rather than specific to it, so I make no neuroscience claims; it’s an audio effect you can hear in ten seconds.
