Browser-based podcast recording for people who just want to record. No AI editing, no lock-in, no paying for features nobody asked for. Guests join with one link, no account. Everyone records locally in studio quality, backed up from the second you hit record. Tracks land in your dashboard and your editor gets notified automatically. Edit wherever you already do. Studios get a branded space for every client. Start free, upgrade when you're ready.

Hey it's Joel, founder of SureTake.
I've run a podcast editing studio for the past 10 years, and I built this out of frustration with where the big recording platforms have gone. They've spent the last few years piling on AI workflows, bundling in editing, and locking people into their ecosystem. Somewhere along the way they forgot about the people who just needed a simple, reliable tool to record. The platforms studios send clients to are now marketing DIY editing straight to those same clients.
SureTake does one thing: it records, reliably, and hands off clean tracks so you can edit however you already work. No AI upsell. No lock-in. Every session backs up from the moment you press record, because I've seen too many lost takes to trust anything less.
It works in Chrome and Edge on desktop, up to six people in a room, individual tracks for everyone, transcription on paid plans, and a branded client area if you run a studio. Free tier is a real recurring hour a month, not a trial.
I'd love feedback from anyone who records or edits podcasts. Happy to answer anything in the comments.
Love that local recording with cloud backup from the second you hit record. So many remote tools still ship double-ender audio as a premium tier or don't back up at all, this nails the actual failure mode.
the local recording approach is smart, but adding a simple post-session clip trimming tool right in the dashboard would save me from opening a separate editor just to chop out dead air before sending the file to my producer.
honestly love that everything records locally first and uploads in the background, that's such a thoughtful call for anyone who has ever lost a great take to a bad connection. the no-account guest link is basically the dream.
love that it just lets you record and doesn't try to do everything else. the local recording + instant cloud backup is honestly the part that sold me, losing a guest's audio mid-convo is the worst.
Love that you went straight to the local recording plus cloud backup approach instead of bolting on AI editing nobody asked for. The one-link guest join without an account is the kind of friction removal that shows you actually use your own product.
