Hey everyone! πŸš€ I built SubSnacker to address a simple personal pain point: I wanted to download and back up my favorite Substack newsletters (especially those I paid for) without any hassle. SubSnacker makes it easy to convert posts to HTML and download them in bulk. If you want to keep a local archive of the writing you love, give it a try. Let me know what you think!

Thank you for your overwhelming feedback! We've made some major improvements over the past week based on your requests:

Just shipped in v1.2:

  • Cloud Archiving: Downloads now run in the background; you can safely close the tab or browser.

  • Notifications: Get an optional email alert when your archive is ready.

  • Status Page: A dedicated page to monitor large archive jobs.

Updates in v1.1:

  • New Export Options: Added Markdown (perfect for Obsidian/Notion) and print-ready PDFs.

  • Better Control: Added date range filtering and a "Preview" feature to check content before downloading.

  • Reliability: Automatic retries for interrupted downloads and smart filenames.

We'd love to hear what you think of the new features!
