What's great

This is the first tool that fit how I actually write, which is in twenty five minute pockets. The diagnostics and continuity checks tell me what my draft needs, the action list tells me where to start, and it never tries to write the prose for me. Free to try, so you can see if it fits your pockets too

What needs improvement

The tools themselves are genuinely good, so my only wish is about the first session. Once my manuscript was in there were a lot of tabs and no sense of which to open first, so it took me a bit to find my footing. One suggested first step right after import would smooth that out. Everything after those first ten minutes has been lovely.

vs Alternatives

Scrivener

I tried the usual suspects first. Scrivener kept my book organized but never told me what was wrong with it, the line editors caught my commas while chapter nine sat quietly broken, and the chat tools wanted to write the scene for me. I needed something that reads the whole manuscript and hands me one list of what to fix and where, because my writing window is a nap, not an afternoon. This was the only one that did that, and the fact that it refuses to write my prose is the part I trust.

What's great

Let me look at the real numbers on this one. Book two of my series meant every thread I left open in book one was now a promise, and I had eleven of them with four in conflict. Two weekends of moving sticky notes got me nowhere. The continuity pass tracks what the manuscript asserts and who knows what, then names the exact two scenes that contradict each other. Three of my four conflicts turned out to be information problems, not plot problems. The fourth was real and I cut a subplot.
