A new tool by Swiftify (known for their Objective-C to Swift Converter) allows Storyboards to be converted to SwiftUI in 1 click! • Get ready to port your iOS apps to macOS • Readable code • Collaborate easily • UI code is checked at compile time
@kaunteya_suryawanshi Good question! This is definitely an early stage product at the moment - not all types of UI elements are supported.
High chances are that we’ll add this functionality to our existing macOS app (Swiftify for Xcode).
Unfortunately, Xcode Extensions are currently limited enough to process contents of the text editor only, but we may still find a solution there.
@romanzadyrako Yeah, good question!
A "code converter" UI was just the fastest option to launch.
Same time, it's a good option to play with the converter and see the results in real-time.
Since a typical iOS or macOS project won't have a LOT of storyboards, pasting the storyboard code should not be an issue.
We are definitely planning to support the conversion of whole files going further.
Just didn't want to mix this converter with the Objective-C to Swift one.
Currently, the Converter -> Files / Project tab only supports Objective-C to Swift conversion.
@scan2c We were working hard to add support for all controls, which has been a tremendous work. We have just launched a version that finally supports all UIKit controls, so feel free to try it out!
