How did Astra change the scope or ambition of what you built?

Astra made it practical to build stocks.team as a complete financial data platform. I built the entire website and backend with it, including SEC filing ingestion, structured financial data, REST and MCP access, and the customer dashboard. That breadth mattered because the ambition goes beyond returning a number. An AI agent should be able to inspect its reporting period, trace it to a filing, and understand when evidence is missing. Historical queries also need to distinguish what was available then from what became known later. Astra helped me build those capabilities across one connected system. Financial extraction and calculations still use deterministic rules, with SEC filings as the source. The product remains in beta as coverage expands, but the scope already spans the path from source documents to an agent’s query.
