Stitch Sentry: Production-ready embroidery, every time

I built StitchSentry (https://stitchsentry.com), a small tool that analyzes embroidery files before they’re sent to a machine. In embroidery workflows, a lot of issues aren’t obvious until the machine is already running — things like overly dense stitch areas, long thread jumps, or invalid stitch sequences. These can lead to thread breaks, puckering, or wasted materials. The tool parses common formats (DST, PES, etc.) and flags potential problems such as: • high stitch density regions • long jumps without trims • very short stitches • hoop boundary overflow • missing END commands / structural issues It then generates a report with a score and some visualizations (density map, stitch paths, color blocks). This isn’t meant to replace digitizing — more like a quick preflight check before production. I’d be interested in feedback on: • whether these heuristics make sense • other failure modes worth detecting • handling differences between formats (DST vs PES, etc.) Happy to answer questions about the parsing/analysis side too.
