Your AI coding agent remembers everything about a project - until you switch machines. Stift keeps those sessions in sync automatically, so the full history and context follow you everywhere. Works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, opencode, and aider. Start free on Stift Cloud, or self-host the single MIT binary - your data, your server

Hey Product Hunt π
I build with AI coding agents all day, and the thing that kept breaking my flow wasn't the models. It was losing the thread every time I switched machines.
The agent's whole memory of a project, the conversation, the context, the todo list it was working through, sits in a hidden folder on one machine. Sit down at a different one and it's like the last three hours never happened.
So I built Stift. Log in once per machine and a small background service keeps your agent sessions in sync everywhere, automatically. Sit down anywhere, cd into your project, and the history is already there. Works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, opencode, and aider.
Two things I cared about:
It's automatic. Set up a machine once and forget it. Manual push/pull are there if you want them, but you shouldn't need them.
It's yours. Start free on Stift Cloud, or self-host the whole thing: one MIT binary, no database, no dependencies. Your sessions can hold source code and secrets your agent saw, so "keep it entirely on my own server" had to be a real option, not an enterprise upsell.
It's live and free to try today. I'd love to know: which agent do you use, and would this fit how you work across machines?
I'll be here all day answering everything π

Switched between my laptop and desktop mid-project and the session picked up right where I left off, no re-explaining anything to the agent. Really handy for anyone bouncing between machines.

Finally something that makes my Claude Code sessions usable across my laptop and desktop without copy-pasting context. The auto-sync just worked when I switched machines.
