What is Stayshot?

A local HEIC→JPG converter for the “iPhone photo won’t open on Windows / form rejects HEIC” moment. Decode runs in your tab (libheif WASM). Nothing is uploaded to a conversion server.

Is the $9 unlock an account?

No. Checkout is a one-time Stripe Payment Link. After payment this browser verifies the session and unlocks locally. There is no login that restores the purchase on another device. Clearing site data = new install. That’s intentional and written on Pricing.

What’s free vs paid?

- Free: 20 HEIC conversions in this browser (21st refused at drop).

- $9 lifetime (this browser): unlimited conversions, multi-file ZIP, HEIC→PDF.

Why not install Microsoft’s HEIF/HEVC codecs?

You can — if you want HEIC to stay HEIC on that one PC. Many office machines block the Store, and tax portals / CMS / email still want JPEG. Stayshot writes a JPG without codecs and without uploading the camera roll.

Privacy?

No conversion API for your bytes. Close the tab and the working copy is gone. EXIF stripped by default; opt in with Keep EXIF if you need GPS/date.
