Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Nathan, founder of Staff AI along with Spencer, and Pablo.
This started as a weekend project at a hackathon. The question we were chasing was simple: how can we have AI working in parallel with people to make them 10x more productive?
Well what if agents worked as employees and never got tired?
So we built the literal version. Staff AI is an office. 🏢
You hire AI employees. They sit at desks. You give them a goal in plain words:
"Ship the March release with clean customer comms." → They propose the projects and who carries each one. You confirm. Then you watch it happen at their desks, around the clock.
"Go through my inbox and draft replies to anything from a customer." → Your ops employee reads Gmail, drafts the replies, and each one lands in front of you as a proposal. Approve, decline, or edit.
"Catch me up on what happened in #support this week." → They read the Slack threads, pull the Linear tickets, and write you the summary.
What makes Staff AI different:
👀 You can see the work. Who is working, who is stuck, and who is waiting on you is something you see in the room, not something you go and query.
✋ It asks before it acts. Nothing reaches Gmail, Slack, Drive, Linear or GitHub on its own. Every outside write is a proposal you approve or decline, and an employee mid-task can offer you up to six choices you answer with one tap.
📓 Everything is journaled. Every read, every write, every attempt that got refused. You can always answer "what did it touch, and who said yes?"

The part I’m most excited about is moving beyond “AI you chat with” toward AI that can actually own work alongside you.
We built Staff around the idea that you should be able to hand off a real goal, see exactly what’s happening, and stay in control of anything that affects the outside world.
