Hey Product Hunt 👋 A while back I realized something kind of broken: the best events in my city, the underground shows, the pop-ups, the small community nights were almost impossible to find. They lived in DMs, group chats, and stories that vanished in 24 hours. Meanwhile the big platforms were charging hosts brutal fees… for basically a "buy ticket" button. So hosts were stuck choosing between paying a fortune to be discoverable, or staying invisible. And people like me kept missing out on the stuff that actually makes a city feel alive. That's why I built Squadz. I didn't want to build it for hosts in a vacuum, so I built it with them. I sat down with DJs, promoters, and community organizers around Montreal, learned exactly where the existing apps were failing them, and shaped Squadz around that. The result is six event apps in one, discovery, squads, event chat, ticketing, verified hosts, payments, in something that's actually clean and intuitive, with fees up to 3x lower than Eventbrite. The big idea: find your people, find your night, and never miss what's happening around you again. Plans are boring. It's Friday night what are you actually doing tonight? 👀

Real talk: it's Friday, the city's awake and somewhere near you there's a perfect night happening that you have no idea about.

That exact feeling is why I built Squadz an app to find events around you (especially the underground stuff the big platforms never surface) and actually go with people instead of solo-scrolling. We launched it here on Product Hunt this Wednesday and honestly the best feedback so far has come from people just telling me how they find their nights.

Hosts/organizers: what do you wish ticketing platforms did differently?

If you've ever run an event: a show, a pop-up, a community night. I want to hear the honest version: what part of the existing platforms actually annoyed you? The fees? The clunky setup? Getting discovered? Payouts?

I've been building an event app and collaborating with DJs, promoters, and organizers to fix exactly these pain points, and the more real frustrations I hear, the better. What's your #1 gripe?
