SpotiDown is a lightning-fast CLI music downloader: paste any Spotify link (track, album, playlist or artist) and get organized lossless files — FLAC or MP3 320 — with embedded covers, metadata and syncedlrc lyrics. Hey PH! 👋 I built SpotiDown because every downloader I tried made me jump through hoops first: create a Spotify Developer App, grab API keys, install Python and FFmpeg — before downloading a single track. I wanted the opposite: paste a link, get music.
So SpotiDown is zero-config: standalone .exe with FFmpeg bundled, no keys needed. It handles tracks, albums, playlists and full artist discographies, organizes everything into Artist/Album folders, embeds high-res covers and synced .lrc lyrics, and cuts intros/outros via SponsorBlock.
The feature I'm proudest of is the built-in Telegram bot — one command turns any machine into a personal music server, so you can request songs from your phone and get lossless audio right in the chat.
It started as a weekend script and grew with every annoyance: re-downloading whole playlists became a smart skip engine, plain text lyrics became LRCLIB integration. Would love feedback on the UX and what you'd want next!
