That “which code is for which account” problem was actually the reason Spot started.
Traditional authenticators are great when you only have a few accounts, but managing dozens of services becomes frustrating. I wanted something faster: visual recognition, countdown visibility, and a clean offline-first experience.

One thing I wanted to highlight is the level of customization in Spot Auth.
Everyone organizes their 2FA accounts differently, so I didn’t want to lock users into a single layout. You can customize grid columns, colors, code appearance, animations, and more to create an authenticator that feels personal.
Security tools are usually designed to be purely functional, but I think everyday tools can also be enjoyable to use. 😊
The grid layout is such a smart call—seeing expiry countdowns at a glance beats digging through a cluttered list every time. Clean execution.

This is exactly the problem I wanted to fix. A long list works fine with a few accounts, but once you have dozens of them, finding the right code becomes surprisingly annoying.
The grid view came from the idea of “recognize it instantly instead of searching for it”.
