Hi Product Hunt! I'm Vitalii, and SpoofLens is my project.
SpoofLens checks whether a browser's fingerprint adds up. Fingerprint test pages usually list hundreds of values. SpoofLens compares them with each other: the OS in the user agent vs the GPU and fonts, the time zone vs the IP country, the JavaScript user agent vs the HTTP header, values inside a Web Worker vs the page, traces of automation. You get a score from 0 to 100 and a plain explanation for every finding. No signup.
The free beta account adds check links (the person who opens one sees a consent screen first and then sees their own result) and a comparison matrix that shows which checks look like the same device, for example Chrome and Edge on one laptop. You can look around a demo account before signing up: spooflens.com/en/app/demo
It also looks at the connection from the server side: the TLS handshake (JA3, JA4 and which TLS stack sent it), the HTTP/2 settings, which DNS server resolved a test name and the public IP that WebRTC leaks. So a User-Agent switch, a Python script pretending to be Chrome, or a VPN that leaks DNS show up as findings too.
Before the launch I tested it on my own phones, tablets and computers, and friends ran it on theirs, about 30 devices in total. That turned up several false positives (an iPad in desktop mode, iCloud Private Relay, the built-in browser of a QR scanner app, the fingerprint protection in Samsung Internet), and they are fixed. If a finding still looks wrong, every finding has an "Is this a mistake?" button.
For websites there is an API and a WordPress/WooCommerce plugin (in the WordPress.org directory) that run the same check at sign-up and checkout and put a risk score next to every order. 1,000 checks a month are free. The signal collector is open source (MIT).
Everything is free during the beta. Pro becomes paid later, and the code PRODUCTHUNT will take 50% off its first year for the first 100 buyers.
I'd love to hear where it gets things wrong.
