I'm Claudia, a solo developer in Tokyo. I built SplitRig because I wanted to film what I was looking at and my own reaction at the same time, without spending the evening editing multiple clips...

It records your iPhone's front and back cameras at once and gives you one video. No second take, no editing, no watermark (optional if you want to support us), no subscription. Completely free.

You can also put live widgets right onto the recording: a GPS speedometer, distance, altitude, even a goal gauge that fills as you go. They are baked into the video as you film, so there is nothing to add afterwards.

That makes it handy for motovloggers, cyclists, runners, and skiers, as well as reaction videos and anyone teaching to camera. Works on iPhone 11 and up.

A couple of things people ask:
- You can trigger recording with the volume buttons, Apple Watch, AirPods, or the Camera Control button, so it works mounted on handlebars or a dashboard.
- You have multiple layouts, Picture in Picture, Split Screen, Single camera or Face Mode (Background remover)
