I'm the developer of SolarTuner, an Android app I've been working on at Quarips, based in Germany.

I started this project because planning a solar installation isn't always straightforward. Before contacting an installer, homeowners often have basic questions: How many panels can fit on my roof? How much electricity could they produce? What system size should I consider?

I wanted to build a tool that helps people explore these questions on their own.

With SolarTuner, users can plan panel layouts, estimate system capacity and energy production, compare different options, and request quotes from local installers.

The app is currently available in 66 countries. We've also recently received our first installation quote request from Australia, which was encouraging to see.

There's still plenty to improve, and I'm continuing to work on the app.

I'd be interested to hear what you think, particularly about the planning experience and whether the estimates and information are useful.
