I've worked as a software engineer and as a teacher. When apps that can finish homework in seconds became available to every student, I started asking students how they were using them. The answer was almost always the same: they were copying. The homework got done, but the learning didn't happen.
Socro is my attempt to fix that. It's a homework tutor that won't hand over answers. A student picks Math, Science, English or History and shares the question. Socro asks what they've tried, gives one hint at a time, and when they show their work, points to the first step that went wrong. It won't write essays or pick multiple-choice answers, even when asked nicely.
