I built SmartZpend because managing personal finances shouldn't be complicated, expensive, or require sharing sensitive financial data with third-party servers.
I wanted to create an expense tracker that puts users in control of their own financial data while making expense management smarter and easier.
SmartZpend started as a simple expense-tracking app and has grown into a privacy-first personal finance tool with AI-powered expense entry, automatic transaction detection, budget management, powerful analytics, cloud backup through Google Drive, and a browser extension for a bigger-screen experience.
My goal is simple: help everyone understand where their money goes, manage their budgets better, and make smarter financial decisions — without compromising privacy or showing annoying ads.
I'm building SmartZpend independently and continuously improving it based on real user feedback.
