SmartRecall turns PDF textbooks, lecture notes, and question banks into ready-to-review AI flashcards in seconds. It creates Q&A, fill-in-the-blank, multiple-choice, and case-style cards, then uses SM-2 spaced repetition to bring weak cards back more often. Study on the web or native iOS app with synced decks. Free to start with 20 credits and no card required—built for high-volume exam prep, but useful for any subject you can put in a PDF.

Hi PH 👋 I'm Alex, the maker of SmartRecall.
This started during USMLE prep. I knew spaced repetition worked, but hand-making cards from textbooks and question banks was taking more time than studying them.
So I fixed the broken step: getting useful cards out of the textbook. Upload a PDF and SmartRecall generates Q&A, fill-in-the-blank, multiple-choice, and case-style cards, then SM-2 schedules reviews so weak cards return more often.
A few choices are deliberate:
- Free to actually try: 20 credits, no card required.
- Student-priced plans and one-time credit packs.
- Not another chatbot: it's a deck you own and review, synced across web and native iOS.
I'd love feedback from anyone burned out on hand-making cards, and from spaced-repetition nerds on how the workflow could be sharper. AMA about the pipeline.
