Hi Product Hunt community! 👋 I’m thrilled to finally share Smart Lens with you. What inspired me: I was constantly frustrated by the "paper-to-digital" gap. Whether it was typing out long documents from photos or hitting a language barrier while traveling, my productivity was always slowing down. I wanted to build a tool that didn't just digitize text, but actually accelerated my workflow. The problem I wanted to solve: Manual data entry is exhausting, and existing tools often felt either too complicated or lacked the privacy and design I needed. I wanted to solve the "productivity drain" caused by these friction points while keeping data processing secure and local. How the process evolved: Initially, I set out to build a simple scanner. But as I worked on it, I realized that utility isn't enough; the experience matters. I pivoted to focus on three pillars: Intelligence: Implementing AI for high-accuracy OCR and instant translation (now 16+ languages). Privacy: Ensuring data is processed securely through local channels. Personalization: Adding elegant, customizable themes.
