Paste a LinkedIn profile and we'll grade their last ten posts on the SlopScale™ - from soulless ChatGPT goo to suspiciously authentic human. Benchmark your score with industry leaders and checkout your company profile for an overall rating!
Hi PH — Michael here.
I built Slop'o'Meter this weekend because I couldn't take it anymore. LinkedIn used to be a place where you'd find out where someone worked. Now it's a place where everyone is a "Visionary AI-First Synergy Catalyst leveraging cutting-edge solutions to drive transformative impact."
So I built a meter that calls it.
What it does: Paste any public LinkedIn profile URL. Slop'o'Meter scores it 0 (pure slop) to 100 (refreshingly human), tells you which buzzwords gave the game away, and slaps a label on it: Mostly Slop, Slop-Flavored, or Actual Person Detected.
We also aggregate your team's scores on a company profile, so you can see how your brand is doing overall!
Who it's for: Recruiters trying to read past the buzzwords, sales people qualifying a prospect's actual title, founders shopping for a hire who can write like a human.... basically anyone who wants to see how their own profile scores (be brave).
What I'd love your help with:
1. Paste your own profile and post your score in the comments. Do you feel it's accurate/fair?
2. Tell me what you'd want next: Twitter/X bios? Résumés? A Chrome extension that scores profiles inline? A "make my profile less sloppy" rewriter? I'm building this in public and the comments are the roadmap.
Free, no signup, no API key, no nonsense. Have at it 👇
@_subnet great project, I'm curious - how did you build this? any details on tech stack and algorithm you're using for detecting the AI slop? Website says "checking for em dashes" 🤣, but I assume there's more to it?
Unfortunately I can't share details on the tech stack & algorithm, as it is proprietary technology! 😅 Ok seriously - we are using GPT-5.4 to rate posts using a quite elaborate prompt. I'm currently also testing the GPTzero API (but it's quite expensive). The rest is Laravel + Claude Code.
My vote for what's next: the rewriter. Detection is entertaining, but fixing it is what would bring value. Most people just don't know how to rewrite AI-generated copy without swapping one buzzword set for another. A Chrome extension would also be cool.
@linkmyseoworld Thanks for your comment, Daniela! Yes, we are also thinking about a chrome extension - not necessarily to re-write, but to mark and maybe hide AI slop! ;)

@linkmyseoworld@_subnet That would be brilliant, a browser extension that identifies slop and re-writes it using AI to be more human.

Used it on a recruiter who’s been cold messaging me weekly for a role I’m wildly unqualified for. Came back at 94%. Felt validated, and slightly vindicated for ignoring her last 11 follow-ups. This tool is doing the Lord’s work.
Genuinely scared to put my own profile URL in. I have a horrible feeling about what’s going to come back. Going to do it anyway and accept whatever number appears as my truth, then probably delete my last six posts and lie about it later.
@oleksii_krysiuk Don't be scared! You can only improve what you are measuring! ;)

Made the Worst Slopers leaderboard on launch day 🤷🏻♂️ Not the recognition I was chasing this quarter, but I'll take it 😃Really fun build, Michael - congrats on shipping 👏

https://slopometer.ai/b/johannesnagl -> 81% refreshingly human. really nice. I also like that I can compare to everyone else in my company.

@_subnet any particular reason for gpt-5.4 instead of 5.5 or claude opus 4.7?

@jollife No not really… I'm just still used to use GPT for my side-projects, and Claude picked 5.4 🥹

@xbojch Wow 94% is really… bad slop!!
