Slicereader is a reader for reading markdown, html, fountain and plaintext articles and documents. It breaks text down into paragraphs and displays just one at a time in a beautifully big, bold, and easy to read font. So one can read with full attention and absorb, not just skim.
Slicereader is a personal 'scratch your own itch' project. I get distracted easily, and especially so while reading long articles. Reading technical articles at times drains my attention, and most of them have small fonts and narrow margins. So, for that and almost all of my other reading, I made Slicereader. I made it for me, so most of the constraints and design decisions are biased towards my preferences. I hope you guys like it too :)
Reminds me somewhat of Ulysses and other writing apps focus modes where they dim the other paragraphs/lines other than the one that you're working on at the moment.
This is definitely great for the documentation use case!
