Hey Product Hunt, I built slate because I wanted a Stream Deck and kept staring at the one already on my desk: my phone. Buying dedicated hardware for a grid of buttons felt like a lot, and I didn't want my shortcuts and shell commands living in someone else's cloud. So slate keeps everything on your local Wi-Fi. Your phone shows a grid of buttons, you tap one, and a tiny Swift menu-bar helper runs it on your Mac - launch an app, run a Shortcut or AppleScript, fire a macro, switch Spaces, control media. Two things I'm proudest of: every button shows your real macOS app icon, pulled live from the machine, and the deck follows your foreground app - bind a deck to an app and it activates automatically when that app comes to the front, so your controls change with whatever you're doing. It's local-only - no cloud, no account, end-to-end encrypted, and you pair by scanning a QR with per-device tokens you can revoke. Free and open source (MIT), one app for iOS and Android, and the Mac helper installs with a single Homebrew command. Built with Swift and React Native / Expo. What would you map to your first button?
