Sketchora brings Excalidraw to the desktop with native filesystem integration. Open, edit, and saveexcalidraw files directly from Windows, macOS, and Linux. It supports file associations, native Save/Save As, recent files, and local offline workflows. Open source and MIT licensed, Sketchora aims to make Excalidraw feel like a natural desktop app.
I built Sketchora because I wanted Excalidraw diagrams to behave more like normal files on my computer.
Instead of opening a browser every time, I wanted to be able to double-click a .excalidraw file, edit it, save it, and keep it alongside my other project files.
That idea eventually turned into Sketchora, an open-source desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
