Websites change constantly, and the dangerous changes are the ones that look normal on the surface. We built Sitemapper after seeing how easily a sitemap, canonical, robots rule, or critical page can shift unnoticed after a deploy. The strongest proof came from our own production monitoring: Sitemapper recorded accessible sitemap inventory changing from 1,361 URLs to 0, preserved the before/after evidence, and later recorded 1,361 URLs again. That observation does not prove traffic loss or origin-side deletion, so the product keeps the claim bounded: it shows exactly what it saw, why the change could matter, and what to investigate.
