Hey Product Hunt, Edward here, founder of Singdu. I’m learning Chinese and hope to pursue a graduate program in China. The motivation is real, but HSK books, beginner videos, flashcards, and even gamified apps felt too dry or generic for me to stick with. Meanwhile, I could listen to Chinese songs for hours (especially Jay Chou), even when I barely understood the lyrics. Not exactly beginner mode, I know. Once I started understanding each line, the songs hit differently, and my vocabulary grew naturally. Songs make surprisingly complete lessons. You get listening practice, words in context, memorable example sentences, repetition, and melodies that turn vocabulary into earworms. That inspired Singdu. It turns songs into interactive language lessons and tracks the words you encounter, without making you maintain vocabulary lists or flashcard decks manually (and it has plenty more features!).
