We built Sifter around a simple question: what would communication feel like if it were tied to where you actually are, instead of fighting for attention in a giant global feed? Sifter is geo-fence by design. You create a chat at your current location, choose a radius, and only people physically inside that space can see or join it. No endless search, no shouting into the void, no random people from nowhere drifting into a conversation that has nothing to do with the moment. That changes the texture of communication in a really interesting way. Conversations become more relevant because the people in them are sharing the same place. It can make events feel more alive, help local communities talk in context, let businesses engage people nearby without being intrusive, and give users the option to participate anonymously or not depending on the setting. Sifter is meant to feel more like a live layer over the real world than another generic chat app. I’m especially curious about this: where do you think location-bound chat becomes more useful than normal social media or messaging?
