Before Shre I was on ManyChat, and honestly it does the comment-to-DM thing fine. But it charges by contacts, so every time a reel took off my bill crept up, which felt backwards. I also looked at LinkDM and InstantDM. Both are solid for the DM side, but that's mostly all they do, so I'd still be paying for a separate link-in-bio and something to sell my recipe PDFs through.
That was the deciding thing. Everyone else covered one piece. Shre did the auto-DMs, the bio page, and the little shop with email capture in one place, at a flat price with no contact cap. I was tired of stitching three tools together and paying for all of them, so consolidating won out.
Finally got around to testing the auto-reply for Instagram story replies and it actually triggered correctly on the first comment I left. The link-in-bio setup was a little fiddly but the booking integration saved me from juggling another tool.
