SEO Inspector Pro audits any webpage instantly — a health score across 9 categories (content, technical, images, accessibility, security...) plus a first-of-its-kind AI/GEO readiness check. Every issue explains why it matters and how to fix it.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Most SEO extensions haven't changed since 2015 — a wall of meta tags with zero context. You get "3 images missing alt text" and are left to figure out why that matters and what to do about it.
I built SEO Inspector Pro to fix that. It's a Chrome extension that audits any open page instantly and gives you:
A health score broken down into 9 categories (content, technical SEO, images, accessibility, structured data, links, social, security)
For every issue: why it matters, the real impact, and exactly how to fix it — not just a number
A first-of-its-kind AI/GEO section: checks if GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot etc. can actually access your content, and whether your page is structured to be cited by AI answer engines
A command palette (⌘K), keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, and a design that doesn't feel like a 2015 dev tool
It's free, no signup, and 100% local — nothing leaves your browser except the direct checks needed for robots.txt/sitemap.xml.
Would love your feedback, especially on the AI/GEO scoring — it's genuinely new territory and I want to get it right. What would you want to know about a page's AI-readiness?

would love to see a competitor comparison mode where you can run the audit on two pages side by side to see how they stack up across those 9 categories, super useful for pitching clients on why their site needs work.

@barangm2r Great suggestion! A competitor comparison mode is definitely something we’re thinking about.
The idea would be to let users save an audit snapshot and compare two pages side by side across key SEO categories (Technical SEO, Content, Performance, AI/GEO, Accessibility, etc.).
I really like the agency/client use case, being able to quickly show where a competitor is stronger and identify the highest-impact improvements would make audits much more valuable.
Thanks for the feedback! If you’ve had a chance to try the extension, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave a review on the Chrome Web Store. It helps a lot and supports the future development of the tool.

Ran it on a couple of my own pages and the GEO readiness check genuinely caught a few structured data gaps I had overlooked. The fix explanations are clear enough that I didn't have to Google anything.

@ftavukcuyo70638 Thank you so much! That's exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for.
The goal wasn't just to point out issues, but to make every recommendation immediately understandable and actionable, without having to open five different tabs to figure out what it means.
I'm really glad the AI/GEO checks helped you spot something you had missed, that's an area I'm actively improving and there's a lot more to come.
If you're enjoying the extension, I'd really appreciate it if you could leave a review on the Chrome Web Store. It really helps the project grow and supports future updates. Thanks again! 🙌

love that each issue comes with a clear why and how to fix it, that one detail makes the whole tool feel built by people who actually use seo tools themselves instead of just shipping a dashboard.

@doanabunaz7hyb Really appreciate your feedback! This is exactly the experience we wanted to create.
Many SEO tools are very good at detecting problems, but the difficult part is helping people understand what actually matters and what actions to take. That’s why every issue includes the context: what’s wrong, why it matters, and how to fix it.
The goal is to make SEO audits feel less like reading a technical report and more like having an SEO expert guiding you through the priorities.
Thanks again for taking the time to share this. If you enjoy using the extension, a review on the Chrome Web Store would mean a lot and would really help us grow.
